SUPERMARKET SCRIP

Every time you shop in Albertson's, Ralph's or Vons, you can make money for the temple! Register your supermarket cards with us and sign up for this easy way to donate. Thank you for taking the time to show your commitment to Sisterhood of Congregation B'nai Emet and our community. E-Scrip (which you may have with your Vons card) will also be given for anyone who wants to register their Macy’s card or Macy’s Visa Card with us. Macy’s gives 2-6% on e-scrip!

PLEASE NOTE:
Members need to re-sign up for Ralph’s Community Contribution and Von’s e-script.

Vons website is: www.escrip.com; Ralphs’ is www.Ralphs.com. If any Sisterhood or Temple member needs help renewing, they can contact Lois Friedman at sdlfried@roadrunner.com.

TRIBUTE CARDS

Did you know that there is now such a thing as a bat mitzvah for Israeli girls, thanks to the Women of Reform Judaism? This is just one of the many projects you can support when you buy a tribute card.

Proceeds from the Women of Reform Judaism's YES Fund go to support projects for Youth, Education and Special Projects here and abroad, such as rabbinic training and Israeli preschools for needy children. Recently the YES Fund founded a training school in Germany for Reform Cantors (most synagogues in Europe use cantors to lead services).

Send a thoughtful greeting for sympathy, birthdays, congratulations or just to reach out to someone.

Each card (also called a Uniongram) is hand written and mailed for you; all you have to do is contact us with the information and send a check made out to CBE Sisterhood.

Prices start at $2.50 for a plain card and $5.00 for a colored picture card. A description of the YES Fund is on the back of the card, stating that you have made a donation in honor of the recipient.

A portion of the price goes to Women of CBE to help support our congregation.

Other items are available. See some samples here.

To purchase a card, contact Lynne Kelly at lkelmom@aol.com.

GENTLY-USED JEWELRY

We have had brisk sales of our gently-used jewelry at several recent events.

If you have gently-used jewelry that you are not wearing anymore, please bring it to the temple or any Sisterhood event so that we can sell it to a loving new home.

Contact Cathy Holst at (805) 584-6159 or catherine3484@yahoo.com for more information.
